Growing up in a family of football lovers, I was the oddball. While they gathered around the TV for the big game, I was there for the wings and, you guessed it, the COMMERCIALS! The range and depth of emotions the ads would make me feel was a thrill! I was hooked. As a child, I aspired to be as creative as possible. I loved painting, photography, videography, and music, but nothing was closer to my heart than writing.

About Me

Childhood: It's the second grade and my teacher just gave me free rein on a creative story, so I wrote about a girl befriending an alien and traveling to her planet, where they ate gelatinous food and danced all night to techno.

The Evolution of a Writer

Preteen: Hiding in my closet with the sound of Justin Timberlake playing in the background, I am pouring my heart out into a garishly gaudy Lisa Frank diary about the 0.2-second hand-touch with my crush at our local amusement park during a class field trip.

Teenager : At this stage its mostly bathroom stall graffiti, notes I pass to my best friend about our teachers receding hair line, and moody poetry. This time I am passing a note to my friend about how were gonna come up with a plan to get my mom to unground me (I’m grounded because Mr. receding hair line saw the first note.) maybe she will let me go to the Korn concert with my friends this weekend.

Present: I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Advertising. I am a copywriter eagerly looking to join an agency to bring my creativity to the team. I won't lie—I still enjoy watching TV upside down and jotting down thoughts in my diary, minus the glitter and sparkles. I now share my work in poetry and writing clubs that I’ve joined, eager for others to see my evolving style and provide feedback and critiques. I was the president of my advertising club and made some lasting friendships. My writing continues to evolve. Despite growing up, my passion for writing has only intensified. Writing is my life, and words are my story—I can't wait to share it.

Young Adult: I am an adult now, a super adulty-adult, and I feel the need to showcase my understanding of the world through mature poetry. I aim to embody the dignity, wisdom, grace, and maturity of icons like Maya Angelou, Virginia Woolf... or Ke$ha. My masterpieces are posted on social media, eagerly awaiting the judgment of emojis from my peers.
